Email Drafts
FluentCase allows you to save drafts while composing messages so you can return to them later.
Signatures are inserted by FluentCase when a draft is created. See Email Signatures if your new-message or reply signature does not look the way you expect.
What are Drafts?
Drafts are emails you’ve started composing but haven’t sent yet. They’re automatically saved as you type.
A draft is created as soon as you start a new message, reply, or forward. If you leave without sending, the message stays in Drafts. A message that fails to send also stays in Drafts.
The From Field
The From field defaults to your first connected email account. If it shows “No email accounts available”, connect an account using the Email Accounts button. FluentCase will not send until an account is selected (“Please select an outbound email account before sending.”).
Creating Drafts
- Click Messages → Compose
- Fill in email details:
- To, Subject, Body
- Add attachments if needed
- Click Save as Draft (or drafts auto-save approximately every 5 seconds)
- Draft is saved to Drafts folder
Auto-Save
FluentCase automatically saves drafts:
- Approximately every 5 seconds while composing
- When you navigate away from compose window
- Before closing browser (if supported)

Drafts are private. Only you can see your drafts; colleagues cannot. Inside a matter, a Drafts (N) item appears under the email link in the left menu when you have drafts for that matter; it lists only your own drafts.
