Print & Mail Address Validation
When a Print & Mail request includes a cover page, FluentCase validates the ZIP code in the return address and addressee before submission.
Validation Icons
Address fields may show:
- A green check when validation succeeds
- A warning triangle when validation fails
- No icon while validation has not yet run
Validation is asynchronous, so the icon may appear shortly after you stop typing.
What FluentCase Validates
The current validation focuses on the ZIP code found in the address block. Make sure each address includes enough information for mailing:
- Recipient or organization name
- Street address
- City
- State
- ZIP code
For contact maintenance generally, see Managing Contacts.
Override Validation
If validation has not confirmed both addresses, FluentCase shows Override Validation. Check it only when you have verified the address manually and want to proceed despite the warning.
Common reasons to override:
- The address is new and not yet recognized
- The ZIP code is correct but formatting is unusual
- The recipient provided the exact address and you want to preserve it
Practical Tips
- Put apartment, suite, or unit numbers on the street line.
- Use standard state abbreviations.
- Avoid extra notes in the address block.
- Confirm ZIP codes with the recipient when validation warns.
